Christian Lindberg | “Musica Vitae”

Having premièred over 300 works for the trombone (over 90 major concertos) recorded over 70 solo CDs, having an international solo competition created in his name, been voted brass player of the 20th century side by side with Miles Davis and Louis Armstrong, Christian Lindberg is today nothing less than a living legend.

The piece “Musica Vitae” for trombone and strings by Christian Lindberg is a birthday tribute to the Chamber Orchestra Musica Vitae who celebrated 40 years in 2020.

Musica Vitae Chamber Orchestra is the ensemble that brings live music – indeed the music of life – to each and every individual member of the audience. The vast realm that is art music is handled with the utmost precision and elegance by its string players. The repertoire consists of baroque and romantic as well as modernist and contemporary music from a wide variety of genres.
